BASIC X-RAY TRAINING
Course:
This course is an entry level designed to prepare a new hire for on-the-job training and early productivity in the servicing of the subject unit and to assist those who are cross training from another modality into Diagnostic Imaging repair.
Qualifications for Admission:
The candidate should have an Associate’s Degree in Electronic Technology and/or equivalent component level experience. Must have a working understanding of various pieces of “test equipment” and mechanical principles. Previous experience on X-ray apparatus and/or computer system is an asset but not required.
Course Hi-Lights:
• A History Background of X-ray and X-ray Physics.
• A Block Diagram Analysis of The Circuits Involved in The System.
• A Reasonable Amount of Hardware Familiarity Provided in an Operating Laboratory.
Summary:
Upon completion of the Basic X-ray course the engineer should have an understanding of the physics of X-rays and how they are produced in an X-ray tube. The engineer should be able to identify the major components of a: Rad, R&F, Angio and Cath room. The engineer should have a basic knowledge of how the components work in concert with each other.
